This year we have a lot to be thankful for and we made a special point to sit down as a family to thank God for His many blessings. ("Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above" James 1:17 a.) We are not only thankful for the good things, but also for the trials that we've had this year. Through trial, we are moulded more and more into Christ's image so we are grateful to God for helping us to strip away self and rely more on Him. One of my favorite verses lately has been 1 Thessalonians 5:18 "in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." More than everything, we are thankful that we are "in Christ Jesus" and that we are learning more about Him every day. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving as well!

New Church
As many of you know, Jeff and I are going to a new church these days. It is called Veritas (Truth) and it is brand new. The pastor was formerly the head pastor at Sylvan Oaks Church on San Juan (whose building has since been purchased by Bayside). Anyway, we are learning so much and growing so much from hearing the Word preached strongly and truthfully. I thought maybe some of you might be interested in seeing what we're hearing each week and lucky for you some of the sermons have been taped and posted on the web. Here is one that was particularly powerful from a few weeks ago. Its about an hour, but I guarantee that it will be well worth your time. If you do watch, let me know what you think! P.S. You can skip the first 5-6 minutes ... its just annoucements.

Zoo
On Saturday, November something (whatever last Saturday was, I don't often look at a calendar, ha!), Grandma Cheryl took us to the zoo along with Nathan, Hannah and Preston. It was a fun morning and the kids had a great time playing with their cousins. Thanks Grandma Cheryl!
